Quality Curriculum
Pocosin Innovative Charter prides itself on offering quality curriculum with results-driven instructional methods. Students work their mind not only through the traditional means of learning but also through active participation in hands-on projects and activity-based learning. Our program is sensitive to the continuum of learning across the K-8 grade span and focuses of building skills important to developing productive citizens of the future.
Agriculture Experience
Our geographical region features a wide range of agriculture related industries. We work to bring all of these important activities to the classrooms at Pocosin Innovative Charter. Students in grades K-5 work each week with specific agriculture staff to learn more about the agriculture activities around us. In grades 6-8 all students complete agriculture courses that emphasize hands-on and project-based learning while at the same time draw connections to all of the core curriculum areas.
