Welcome to
Pocosin Innovative Charter
Applying begins the process of becoming a part of our Pocosin Innovative Charter family. We are thrilled to serve students from any of our counties in our school's region. The Lottery Application for 2024-25 is OPEN FOR WAITLIST APPLICATIONS ONLY.
PIC uses the SchoolMint enrollment system for our application, lottery, and registration processes.

How to Apply

1. Sign up at

2. Fill-in your account information.
​
3. Click "Add New Student Application" for each child you are applying for.
​
4. Complete the application and submit it. You will receive an email or text confirmation stating your application has been submitted.

Lottery Information
Admission is based on a weighted lottery system if the school receives more applications than open seats during the open enrollment time period.

Acceptance & Waitlist
The school will post the results of the lottery on the website within 5 business days of the lottery.
Parents will be notified of the lottery results via email within 24 hours of the lottery. If a student has been admitted to the school, the parent/guardian of the student will be contacted via email unless they indicated on their application that they do not have access to email.
Students will have 5 calendar days from the date their acceptance email was sent to accept or decline enrollment and 10 days from the time of the acceptance email to turn in enrollment paperwork.

Acceptance Documentation
Accepted families who enroll will be required to submit eligibility documentation and must read and agree to follow the Pocosin Innovative Charter policies and procedures.

​Prior to attending School, the parent is required to submit all documents for registration including proof of residence, immunization records and other documents needed.

Pocosin Innovative Charter is a NC public school and requires no application fee or tuition. In order to be eligible for admission, students are required to reside in the State of North Carolina at the time of the application.

Under North Carolina General Statute (GS115C-391), Pocosin Innovative Charter may refuse admission to any student who has been expelled or suspended from a public school, until the period of suspension or expulsion has expired.
​
Pocosin Innovative Charter does not limit admission to students on the basis of intellectual ability, measures of achievement or aptitude, athletic ability, disability, race, creed, gender, national origin, religion, or ancestry.
